Service cancellation

Clear terms when plans change.

This Service Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, changes and applicable refunds are handled for ORSA FIRE LIMITED’s professional fire safety assessment and advisory services.

Before service begins

Cancellation requests should be made as soon as reasonably possible so that the status of the agreed work can be confirmed.

01 / Overview

Cancellation depends on when the service stands.

ORSA FIRE LIMITED provides assessment, review and advisory services rather than physical goods. Because professional work may begin before the final written document is issued, cancellation treatment can depend on whether work has started and how much of the agreed service has been supplied.

Nothing in this policy removes or limits any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

02 / Before work

Cancellation before service starts.

If a cancellation request is received before the agreed service has started, the request will be considered promptly.

Where the service has not started and there is no other lawful reason for retaining an amount already paid, any applicable refund will be arranged in accordance with the agreed service terms and applicable law.

Contact us promptly.

Cancellation requests should be sent to orsafireservices2017@outlook.com so that the current status of the service can be confirmed.

03 / Work started

When work has already started.

Where the client has requested or agreed that service performance should begin before the end of any applicable cancellation period, professional work may commence before the final deliverable is supplied.

If the client then requests cancellation after the service has started, the amount payable may reflect the proportion of the service already supplied up to the point at which the cancellation takes effect, where this is permitted by applicable law.

  • Initial review or assessment work already undertaken.
  • Documents or information already reviewed.
  • Agreed assessment activity already completed.
  • Written work already prepared or substantially prepared.
Fair treatment of work already supplied.

Any amount retained following a permitted cancellation will be considered in relation to the service actually supplied and the applicable contractual and legal requirements.

04 / Completed

When the agreed service is complete.

Once the agreed professional service has been fully performed, the position regarding cancellation may be different from a service that has not yet started.

Where the service has been fully completed at the client’s request before the end of an applicable cancellation period, any statutory right to cancel may no longer apply where the relevant legal conditions for completed services have been satisfied.

Any cancellation or refund request will nevertheless be considered against the specific circumstances and applicable law.

05 / Request

How to request cancellation.

Cancellation requests should be made in writing so that the request and relevant service details can be clearly recorded.

  • Client or organisation name.
  • Email address used for the service enquiry.
  • Relevant service or assessment name.
  • Reason for the cancellation request, where the client wishes to provide one.
  • Any relevant reference or service information available.

Requests should be sent to: orsafireservices2017@outlook.com

06 / Refunds

Refund processing.

Where a refund is due following an approved cancellation, the refund will normally be processed within 5 working days after the refund has been confirmed.

The time required for the funds to appear may depend on the payment method and the relevant financial institution. ORSA FIRE LIMITED does not control processing times imposed by banks or other payment providers.

Refund approved Confirmation issued
Refund processed Normally within 5 working days
Funds received Subject to financial institution timing
07 / Changes

Changing an agreed service.

A request to change an assessment, review or delivery arrangement is not necessarily the same as a cancellation.

Minor change

Where a requested change can reasonably be accommodated within the existing scope, the delivery arrangement may be updated without treating the service as cancelled.

Additional requirement

Where a change materially increases the scope or adds new work, the additional requirement should be discussed and agreed separately before the additional work begins.

08 / Arrangements

Access and information requirements.

Some assessments may depend on information, documents, access to premises or agreed availability.

If an agreed service cannot proceed because required information or access has not been provided, the delivery timetable may need to be adjusted.

Where a client needs to rearrange an agreed activity, they should contact ORSA FIRE LIMITED as soon as reasonably possible so that an alternative arrangement can be considered.

09 / Legal position

Statutory rights remain protected.

This policy is intended to explain the practical process for cancellation and refunds. It does not exclude, restrict or replace any statutory rights that apply to a particular client or service.

Where mandatory consumer or other legal requirements provide a right that differs from this policy, the applicable legal requirement will take precedence.

Nothing in this policy limits liability or rights where such limitation would not be permitted by law.

Need to change or cancel an arrangement?

Contact ORSA FIRE LIMITED as soon as reasonably possible. We will review the status of the agreed service and explain the applicable next steps.
