Service delivery

Clear scope. Practical delivery.

This Service Delivery Policy explains how ORSA FIRE LIMITED organises and delivers its fire safety assessment and advisory services.

Before work begins

The service requirement, scope, information needed and delivery arrangement are clarified before the agreed work begins.

01 / Overview

The work starts with understanding the requirement.

ORSA FIRE LIMITED provides professional fire safety assessment and advisory services for businesses, landlords, property managers and other responsible persons.

Our services are structured around reviewing the information available, considering the relevant premises and circumstances, identifying findings and providing practical written recommendations within the agreed scope.

02 / Scope

Each service has a defined scope.

Before delivery begins, the nature of the requested service is considered and the applicable scope is confirmed.

  • The type of assessment or review required.
  • The premises, property or business circumstances being considered.
  • The information and documents required from the client.
  • Whether the agreed work is carried out remotely, on site, or through a combination of methods.
  • The expected form of the written findings or recommendations.
  • The expected delivery timeframe.
Scope clarity

Work outside the agreed scope is not automatically included. Where an additional requirement becomes apparent, the additional work and any applicable arrangement should be discussed before it is undertaken.

03 / Process

How delivery works.

01

Requirement discussed

The client explains the premises, circumstances and type of fire safety service required.

02

Information reviewed

Relevant information and documents are identified and, where required, supplied before the assessment activity begins.

03

Assessment or review carried out

The agreed assessment or review is undertaken using the information and circumstances within the confirmed scope.

04

Findings documented

Relevant observations, findings and practical recommendations are organised into the agreed written deliverable.

05

Delivery completed

The completed document is supplied electronically, normally by email, together with any agreed supporting information.

04 / Method

Remote, on-site or combined delivery.

The delivery method depends on the nature of the service and the circumstances being considered.

Remote review

Where appropriate, information, documents, photographs or other relevant material may be reviewed remotely.

On-site assessment

Where the agreed service requires consideration of the premises, an on-site visit may form part of the assessment.

Combined approach

Some requirements may involve preliminary information review followed by an agreed on-site assessment and subsequent written reporting.

Written delivery

Written findings and recommendations are normally provided electronically unless another delivery arrangement has been specifically agreed.

05 / Timing

Expected delivery periods.

The following periods provide a general guide. The actual timeframe depends on the service scope, information required, access arrangements and the circumstances of the work.

Initial Fire Safety Review Normally within 3 working days
Standard Assessment / Review Normally within 5 working days
Detailed Fire Safety Assessment Normally within 7 working days
Follow-up Review Agreed according to requirement
When does the timeframe begin?

The applicable delivery period normally begins once the required information has been received and the agreed assessment activity or access arrangements are in place.

06 / Information

Information helps keep the work precise.

Depending on the service, relevant information may include:

  • Premises or property information.
  • Details of the building’s use and occupancy.
  • Existing fire safety arrangements.
  • Relevant plans, drawings or property information where available.
  • Existing records or documents relevant to the agreed review.
  • Details of any particular areas or matters the client wants considered.

Clients should provide information that is accurate and reasonably complete for the agreed service. If required information is unavailable, this may affect the scope, timing or conclusions of the work.

07 / Deliverable

What you receive.

The exact deliverable depends on the service selected and the agreed scope.

Assessment findings

Relevant observations and findings arising from the agreed assessment or review.

Areas requiring attention

Where identified within scope, matters that may require further consideration or action.

Practical recommendations

Clear recommendations intended to support ongoing fire safety management.

Written documentation

A structured electronic document reflecting the agreed service and information considered.

08 / Service boundary

Assessment is not the same as remedial work.

ORSA FIRE LIMITED’s services are focused on professional fire safety assessment, review, documentation and advisory support.

Included within scope

Assessment, review, consideration of relevant information, written findings and practical recommendations according to the service agreed.

Not automatically included

Physical remedial works, equipment supply, equipment installation, building alterations or ongoing maintenance are not automatically included unless specifically agreed as part of a separate arrangement.

09 / Changes

When requirements change.

A client’s circumstances may change after a service has been agreed. New information, additional premises, additional areas of review or requests outside the original scope may require the delivery arrangement to be reconsidered.

Where additional work is requested or becomes necessary, the revised requirement should be discussed and agreed before that additional work is undertaken.

This approach helps ensure that the client understands what is being reviewed and what the final deliverable is intended to cover.
